What is ImTakt?
ImTakt is a free journey planner for public transport in Germany. Compare connections and departures in the browser. It is a product of AUVY GmbH, not Deutsche Bahn.
How do I plan a journey, for example Berlin to Munich?
Enter origin and destination on the homepage. Berlin Hbf, München Hbf and Hamburg Hbf are suggested. ImTakt shows up to ten journeys with arrival, duration, transfers and reported delays. You do not need to sign up.
Does ImTakt show delays and platforms?
Reported delays and cancellations appear when the realtime feed includes them. Scheduled and reported times stay distinct. We do not publish platform numbers in the traveler view today, so unreliable Gleis data is not shown.
Is ImTakt free — do I need an app?
Yes. The planner is free and runs in the browser. Nothing to install. Assistants such as Cursor or Claude can use the same facts through the official CLI, also without an API key.
Can I buy tickets on ImTakt?
No. ImTakt does not sell tickets or quote binding fares. Tickets, reservations and Deutschlandticket rules stay with the operator, for example bahn.de or the operator’s app.
